Biography
Skye Fitzpatrick is a PhD student in the BEP lab. She joined the BEP lab in 2011, and completed her Masters degree there in 2013. Skye is interested in examining what it means to have BPD both from a basic science perspective and as told through the lived experience of people living with BPD. She is also interested in identifying and finding ways to improve the therapies and therapeutic techniques that help people with BPD improve their lives and reduce emotional suffering. Skye has published several empirical papers on BPD and its treatment, and has given presentations on these topics at many national and international meetings. Skye has several research projects underway which are mainly focused on identifying factors that obstruct or improve people with BPD’s ability to regulate their emotions.
