Our lab harnesses tools of cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology to better understand clinical and anomalous conditions. In addition to participants with clinical disorders, we investigate sub-clinical symptomatology and individual differences associated with psychopathology among undergraduate and community samples. These investigations are aimed at improving basic understanding of brain and behaviour profiles to better inform clinical detection and intervention strategies. In turn, studying these clinical spectra also offers unique insight into basic neurocognitive mechanisms. Foci of current or recent studies comprise participants with:
- Schizophrenia spectrum disorders; schizotypy; delusional ideation
- Depression; dysphoria
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Recreational substance use
- Anxiety
- Sleep paralysis
- Concussions; traumatic brain injury
