Age, Self-Reference, and Emotional Memory (SREM):

This project aims to investigate the effects of age and self‐reference on emotional memory to determine how self‐reference effect moderates age related changes in memory for emotional information. This will advance our knowledge and understanding of how older individuals process information adaptively through the employment of memory. The findings will have broad implications for education and intervention programs to optimize cognitive functioning of certain populations, particularly for older adults.
