In this study, we are looking for people who describe themselves as worrying a lot. This study involves a phone screen in order to determine whether you are eligible to participate.
If you are found to be eligible and take part in the study, you will be asked to make a total of 5 in-person visits to our laboratory at Ryerson University, which will unfold over a period of 6 weeks. The first visit is 1.5 hours, and the rest of the visits are brief (only 30 minutes).
Visits involve completing questionnaires about current emotional and psychological experiences, as well as completing a writing task. In addition to these visits, we will also ask you to keep a very brief worry and emotion diary during the first 17 days of the study which you will complete online via a link that is emailed to you twice per day.
Outside of the in-person visits, you will also complete a set of questionnaires online on two separate occasions, spaced approximately 1 week apart. You will earn up to $95 depending on how many phases of the study you complete.
If you are interested, the next step would be to book a time to do a telephone screen. The telephone screen takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and is not compensated.
