Training Thinking Styles Study

Research has shown that unhelpful “thinking styles” can lead to chronic worry and anxiety. This study will examine the immediate and short term effects of training more helpful “thinking styles” on worry and anxiety.

For this study, we are looking for people who describe themselves as chronic worriers. This study involves a phone screen in order to determine whether you are eligible to participate.

If you are eligible to participate you will be invited to the lab to take part in the study. Participation involves 3 visits to Ryerson University (the first visit is up to 2 hours in length, the rest of the visits are 1.5 hours each), which are spread out over a 3 week period. In addition, you will be asked to complete 7 days of at-home activities in between visits 1 and 2 (approx 30 minutes/day). You will earn up to $80 depending on how many study phases you complete.
