Research Interests
Fiona joined the Community-Engaged Research on Culture & Health Lab in September 2014. She is interested in cross-cultural mental health, including the adaptation, delivery, and evaluation of mental health interventions for individuals often overlooked by mainstream mental health services. Her PhD dissertation examines the risk and resilience factors of comorbid psychopathology in an internally displaced population in post-conflict Northern Sri Lanka. This study will complement the implementation of the World Health Organization (WHO) Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP; WHO, 2008) in the region.
