Graduate Student

Jen graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Psychology from Carleton University.  For her Master’s degree at Ryerson University in 2009, she examined the effectiveness of counselling provided at a university counselling centre.  Joining the CERCH lab in 2011, she continues this work for her Doctoral dissertation examining the effectiveness of the psychotherapy provided at the Psychology Training Clinic in St. Michael’s Hospital’s family health teams.  Jen is also exploring perspectives on patient care, interprofessionalism, and student training at the Psychology Training Clinic.  Her research interests include primary health care, interprofessionalism, post-secondary mental health, Canadian mental health care, and health policy.  Jen was recently accepted for her one-year internship at the University of Toronto Counselling and Psychological Services, which combines her interests in counselling psychology and primary health care.  Upon graduation, she hopes to continue her clinical work, research, and advocacy in the area of community mental health
