Graduate Student
Christina is a MA student in clinical psychology and joined the CERCH the lab in 2015. She received her honours BA from the University of Regina. Her honours thesis evaluated a student-run health clinic that promotes health and well being among the aboriginal population of Regina. Christina was also involved in a number of research projects exploring the effects of childhood and adult trauma on health, health care utilization, and post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms. Her primary research interests include evaluation of community-based programs, particularly amongst individuals who are underserved and have difficulty accessing traditional mental health services due to trauma, stigma, or being marginalized. For her MA thesis, Christina is evaluating a psychosocial rehabilitation program, Progress Place, in their efforts to provide support to individuals with severe mental illness. She hopes to continue to research underserved populations in her dissertation.
