Research Interests
Gillian’s research interests include the role interpersonal behaviours and processes (e.g., feedback seeking behaviours, fear of evaluation) in the context of anxiety and related disorders. For her doctoral dissertation, she will be investigating fear of negative and positive evaluation and associated behaviours in individuals with social anxiety disorder. Her Master’s thesis examined features of reassurance seeking and negative feedback seeking in social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. She is also interested in the role of perfectionism and other cognitive vulnerability factors (e.g., intolerance of uncertainty) in the context of anxiety-based problems.
