Research Interests
For her undergraduate thesis, Amy researched executive functioning and its association with aggression in a sample of NCR forensic psychiatric inpatients. During her Master’s, Amy examined the impact of the Cross Over Youth Project on stakeholders serving youth justice- and child welfare-involved youth under the supervision of Drs. David Day and Arla Good. Currently, Amy’s research interests include intimate partner violence, residential treatment outcomes for children and adolescents with severe problem behaviours, as well as justice system outcomes for offenders with intellectual disabilities and/or mental disorders. More generally, Amy is also interested in trauma-informed care, knowledge translation, and developmental psychopathology. Amy previously completed a practicum at the Psychology Training Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital and will be completing her second practicum at the Reach Out Centre for Kids in Burlington.
