Charlene Krisha Ramos, B.A. Psychology Candidate (Ryerson University, anticipated 2021) is a Volunteer Research Assistant at the SHiFT Lab. Her research interests are rooted in feminist poststructural approaches to exploring sexual identities and particularly, the lived experiences of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Charlene is passionate about examining how popular Western heteronormative discourses influence sexuality and gender identities, and how this affects negotiations of desire and agency within relationships. Charlene aspires to further her academic career with a Master’s Degree in Psychology, with a desire to become a practicing clinical psychologist.
