Omega Luxor (she/her), BA psychology candidate (Ryerson University, anticipated, 2021). Omega is a Volunteer Research Assistant at the SHiFT Lab. Her interest includes diversifying research on women through an intersectional lens, while also analyzing how these sexual discourses intersect and create the everyday narratives that differ based on gender. She is also interested in analyzing how these gender norms regulate people’s attitudes towards sex in the private sphere. Omega hopes that this research can help improve sexual health resources and deepen people’s understanding of sex. Her dream is to continue my academic career, obtain a master’s and Ph.D. In the future, she would like to become a practicing clinical psychologist.
