Follow the story of twelve-year-old Bean, an adolescent born from the Mohawk tribe. Bean is tasked with balancing her wholesome childhood and incautious adolescence; simultaneously being forced to grow up rapidly in the midst of the Oka Crisis, the tumultuous Indigenous uprising that cleaved relations in Quebec and Canada for 78 days in 1990.
