CONGRATULATIONS to Kristin Maich, our beloved doctoral student, on defending her dissertation on August 14, 2019! Kristin conducted a mixed methods study of the mechanisms behind Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), with a primary focus on patients’ experiences in therapy. With the guidance of Dr. Kelly McShane, Kristin analyzed a relapse prevention homework assignment in which study patients wrote about what they thought was responsible for therapeutic change. Kristin’s work is an important piece of the puzzle of learning about how this effective treatment works. We are so proud of Kristin and are so thankful for her time with us. Congratulations Kristin!
